WAN and PBX system design consultancy to a company developing a mobile communications network.

Assisted an Enterprise organisation with the communications, infrastructure and systems  requirements definition and implementation of two new office projects in Scotland. The assignment involved preparing IT invitations to tender, evaluation and contract placement, specification of cabling system requirements, communications room environmental requirements and project management of the implementation of the systems.

Conducted a PTO service cost analysis and cost reduction exercise for a major American Bank.

Project managed the IT aspects of the move of 150 professionals in the  Corporate Advisory department of a major UK Bank to new offices in the City of London.  The move required a very high standard of IT infrastructure and quality of service combined with a very short delivery timescale and an aggressive refurbishment programme.   

Managed the wide area network for a global industry in Brussels.  Responsibilities included a multi-national staff of telecommunications engineers, and developing techniques for reducing data capacity and costs of the network whilst retaining service levels.

Developed a 5 year telecommunications strategy for a major property company and presented the findings and proposals to the company board of directors.

Managed the Y2K program for the European voice systems for a major American Bank. This involved defining Y2K standards, testing, remedial action and mitigation strategy including back-up satellite systems, for all PTO and PTT services, PBX, and Dealer Voice systems for Western & Eastern Europe, Russia, South Africa & Turkey.
